Cocktail Guide

Everyone likes a nice cocktail now and again. It isn’t unmanly to want a nice fruity drink once in a while, I mean would you judge someone harshly for having a Fanta? So if you are planning to branch out here are a few to try, and they all go down well if you make them for other people too.

Sex on the Beach

The Piña Colada is made by blending ice with coconut rum and pineapple juice, and garnishing it with a pineapple. This drink goes well with walks in the rain.

Cuba Libre

The Cuba Libre is barely a cocktail, its literally a rum and coke with lime and ice.

Martini

The Martini is a fairly simple cocktail that no one can ever get right. Recipe books will have you believe that a martini should consist of 3 shots of gin and one shot of vermouth , shaken over ice and strained into a glass and garnished with an olive. However for the perfect martini use only  use 1 quarter of a shot of vermouth (6.25 ml) and add a second olive and you’ll thank me later.

So that’s some basic cocktails for you to try your hand at. However I must warn you that the martini will catch up to you if you have more than one, how James Bond drinks them one after the other and can shoot straight, I will never know.
